I’ve been getting into alot of finger-picking guitar artists recently. Artists such as Kaki King, Michael Hedges, Andy Mckee, and Don Ross (who I got to see live this past month!). Well you can add another artist to that list now. His name is Erik Mongrain from Montreal. His technique used in both of the videos below is called “Air Tap”. It’s freakin’ genious.

i’ve been slanting my head to the left ever since i got out of bed this morning. the right side of my neck and shoulders feel really sore. the most neck pain i’ve ever experienced. perhaps its how i slept last night. i had to leave work early today cause 1) it still hurt and 2) i was looking weird with my head slanted. maybe some acupunction may do the trick! no wait…i hate needles. anyone know the queen of hearts? the only other solution i can think of is “off with his head”
guess what day it is? did you know that there really is no proven connection between Saint Valentine and caring/love? Feb 14 was the day they burried the guy…and thats it. today is the offical day that consumers get trapped in a marketing ploy to spend more money for a made up holiday…they even trick us what the shape of our heart is…lucky to the world, i’m smarter than that!
i was a little bored this afternoon, so i walked over to giant tiger, only a 5 minute walk from my house. since when did giant tiger become a cool place to shop?! they were selling holister and abercrombie clothing, sweet furniture, and good cds for $7! of course i couldnt refuse the offer and bought the newest ben folds cd. i remember the day when i would be embarassed to walk into a giant tiger cause it was where the welfare ppl shop. who cares now…i hope they come out with a rewards point system, cause sign me up as a frequent shopper!
so i was given a bunch of books yesterday from an organization that sells unreleased books to bookstores…so they are hot of the press. i got some good ones! i’m currently reading “free for all”, a non fiction book where the author is a low life who gets a job at a californian library and his experiences in that job for the past 20 years. pretty funny stuff. keep a look out!
